Although we are tied to the strings of doubt, failure, mortality., We have been granted the chance to be a part of a team of motivated woman who want to better this world. We can inspire and remind the people in our community of all the amazing things we can do to change the world for the better

We can be the spirit of the community that bridges the mind of information with the body of action.

We are of the information age, and near past it..

We have the ability to know many great things. Great things like what we do has an impact, and that every act can be measured.

The smallest things can lead to the largest outcome.

You are smart in knowing that the world needs true leaders. We as neighbors need each other. Beauty comes in change. Beauty comes in doing the right thing. You are smart in that you don’t have to see the trash to know the impact on the ocean, land, and air.

You are here 2. because you are passionate.

You are passionate about the impact on the planet, and how small things like straws, plastic bags, and the things we buy on a daily basis, create our future tomorrow. You have experience in sharing your passion and seeing the positive effect you can have on the people around you.

You are here 3. because you are committed. In some way, you are committed in educating, acting and inspiring those around us to care and change for the better.

We have the mind to know that we can do better.

Our body can be weak in action if we do not hold the spirit of love and care to do better.

Bella Napoli / Green Business Meeting 5-8-2018

I was present for a green business meeting hosted by BTG this Tuesday. The focus was food waste and the ways to improve. Bella Napoli is a family restaurant that thrives off of the threads of relationships it has weaved throughout the years. Bella Napoli is more than a conversation or one plate of pasta. It is a moment we share together that gets us through the lesser days. Behind these moments are the details of the work place. Making lists, ordering products, organizing, prepping, serving, and of course loving. There is however more to our story, and that story continues in our trash bins. As much as a passing smile can carry itself through the day, so too does our trash carry itself way beyond our bins. Food waste is one of our beautiful problems. Volunteering

When I left public high school, I found myself searching for education in nontraditional ways. This desire led me to volunteering.. I have been an avid volunteer for over 12 years. This is not for curriculum or requirements, I volunteer because it's the most direct action I can take. Donating money is the next best thing, but it's a dry exchange that limits engagement and ability to see where the help* goes. I began with recycling events, tree planting, invasive plant removal, and recycling education. These events and actions put me face to face with my community and my communities core issues regarding consumption, waste, and pollution. It's a practice to do something for nothing. These days instant gratification in social media or consumption leaves us hungry and hopeless to do something that pays off for future gain. To invest in the future may leave our hands empty for now, but the payoff is always greater than the initial handout.
